Ken Lockard is Chairman of the Lockard Companies based in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and actively seeks development opportunities in real estate from large residential projects to shopping centers through venture capital investments and strategic partnerships. Ken has built the 60 year old family business from one office in Iowa to five offices across the United States. The Lockard Companies have real estate investments in 28 states. Under Ken's leadership, the Lockard Companies have assembled a team of high-test individuals to propel the companies forward into the next generation. Ken began his commercial and general contracting career at the age of 14 when he began working at his father's business, Lockard Construction, and continued as he worked his way through college. In 1976 he began working in his dad's office doing accounting, estimating, sales, administration, development and finance. In 1983, at the age of 28, Ken became President of Lockard Construction. In 1990 he became Chairman of the Board of Lockard Companies. Ken majored in business from the University of Northern Iowa and received his MBA from the YPO Executive Harvard Business School. Ken is a founding member of Community National Bank with 23 locations in the Midwest. During Ken's business tenure he has started, purchased, built, and sold numerous companies. Ken is very active in the community and serves on many non-profit boards and committees. He is a founding partner of Servant Investments. Ken and his wife, Amy, have been married 30 years and have eight children ranging in ages between 2 and 23.
