Robert "Bob" Smith is President of Lockard Companies, Inc. headquartered in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where he oversees all of the operations of overall corporate strategy and sourcing capital/strategic partnerships. Since Bob joined in 1997, Lockard Companies has opened offices in Charlotte, NC; Orlando, FL; Fort Worth, TX; and Whitefish, MT. Lockard Companies has grown into a nation-wide integrated real estate solutions firm with over $1.4 billion in real estate transactions in over 28 states. Lockard Companies' services cover the entire spectrum of the real estate life cycle: site selection, ownership structure, project finance, concept and value engineering, construction management, redevelopment, and disposition.
Bob received his MBA from the University of Northern Iowa with an emphasis on real estate finance and received his BA in Business Administration from John Brown University. Bob earned his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and is a past Chairman of the Iowa CCIM Chapter. He is a member of the Society of Industrial and Officer Realtors (SIOR) and is an MBA candidate at the YPO Executive Harvard Business School.
In 2003, Bob joined Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and is the Membership Chair for the YPO International Real Estate Network. Bob has been past Chair of the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce; past Alumni Board President of John Brown University; a member of the Board of Directors of Friendship Village, a retirement home; a Forum Member of Pinnacle Forum America; a Board Member of Iowa Securities Investment Corporation; a Life Member of Gideons International; a McElroy Trust Advisor; and Chairman of the Board of T8 Webware. Bob is a founding partner of Servant Investments.
Bob and his wife, Teresa, have been married for 20 years and have four children.
